Quality Policy Statement

The policy of Quality Blasting & Coating (QBC), located at 21 Orion Ct., Woodside, NS, is to ensure our internal and external customers are provided with products and services that satisfy both their requirements and expectations.  Quality Policy Statement In addition, QBC have planned, documented, reviewed and established a Quality Management System (QMS) to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard and shall continue to make improvements to the system by ensuring the QMS is communicated and clearly understood at all levels of the organization. Adherence to customer requirements, industry specifications, national standards and our QMS are all necessary to meet our commitment for providing a quality product and/or service to our customers.

Health and Safety:

At QBC our health and safety culture is our top priority, and we are proud to be a member of Construction Safety Nova Scotia. In order to maintain a safe work atmosphere our equipment is tested and checked daily, as well as regular safety meeting each morning in order to be proactive against potential incidents. We provide our employees with necessary personal protective equipment from respirators to hard hats, as well as continuous training in order to get everyone home safely. 

1.1 COMPANY SAFETY POLICY

  • 1.1.1 - Quality Blasting & Coating Ltd. is committed to a safety program that actively promotes a safe work environment that protects its employees, property and the public from any unacceptable safety or health risks in the execution of our business activities.
  • 1.1.2 - Quality Blasting & Coating Ltd. is committed to work in a spirit of consultation and cooperation with all employees and will strive to meet or exceed the standards as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Workplace Health & Safety Regulations as they apply to our business activities.  This will be accomplished through ongoing employee education, the application of engineering and administrative controls and the use of the proper personal protective equipment.
  • 1.1.3 - All employees will be held accountable for ensuring their own personal health and safety along with that of their co-workers.  All supervisors will ensure the health and safety of employees under their direct supervision.
  • 1.1.4 - We believe that the health and safety of our employees is of the utmost importance, therefore the health and safety of our employees will always take precedence over production.
  • 1.1.5 - An injury and accident free workplace is our goal; we trust that you will join us in our commitment to make safety in our work place a way of life.
  • 1.1.6 - The safety information provided in this policy shall not take precedence over the Occupational Health and Safety Act of the jurisdiction which the employee is working in.  All employees shall be familiar with the provisional Occupational Health and Safety Act.
